SUN, EARTH, AND MOON BY: Gavin and Tyler

What is the sun? The sun is a star that has balls of gas in it. The sun rises in the east and sets in the west.

How does the sun move?  The sun spins and the earth and moon revolve around it.

How does the earth move? The earth to spin that takes 24 hours that’s called a day. The earth spins on it axis that’s how it moves. It takes 365 days to spin on it axis and to go around the sun.

What causes day and night? 12 hours is half a day so 1 half is night that’s what causes night when 1 half faces the sun that causes day.

What causes the seasons? The tilt of the earth axis helps cause seasons because when it spins and the axis it gets closer and farther from the sun.

What causes the length of our days and years?  There are 24 hours in 1 whole day. That’s what causes day. It takes 365 days for 1 whole year. All that spinning it spins on its axis!

How does the moon move?  It rotates on its axis and revolves around the earth. The moon talks 28 days to go around the earth.

What causes the phases of the moon? It looks like the moon is has more sunlight but it doesn’t.

Favorite part Gavin and Tyler’s favorite part was the moon phases.
