User Response: “I use Enlighten mainly as an extra way to increase free access to the pre-journal-print text of my papers, to interested readers who may not have a subscription to the journals concerned. It’s also a good way to update the University REF data, and personal web page, with publications as they arise. I don’t, however, use Enlighten generally to search for journal articles or authors because I prefer reading the post-print version of articles, and GU seems to have subscriptions for all those that I need. I tend to use Pubmed for that. The Enlighten service certainly is very helpful: I find the staff professional and prompt and well informed about copyright issues etc.”
