All Rights Reserved.  Oracle acquired several companies in BI space(Siebel, Hyperion, Endeca ) and markets BI under its Fusion middleware.  Ii is positioned to dominate the BI space includes competition from SAP BO, IBM Cognos, Pentaho, Tableau, Qlickview etc.  OBIEE 11g is based on a proven web service-oriented unified architecture that integrates with an organization’s existing information technology (IT) infrastructure for the lowest total cost of ownership (TCO) and highest return on investment (ROI).  OBIEE Components are Oracle BI Answers/Analytics, Oracle BI Interactive Dashboards and Oracle BI Publisher.  OBIEE Servers are Console(weblogic server) and Enterprise Manager(Fusion Middleware server)  OBIEE repository tool is a Administration tool. It contains weblogic server administrator console, which is used to administer the managed server, stating, stopping managed servers  Create new users, roles and give access rights to them.  Administration server contains fusion middleware console, which is used to manage/administer OBIEE 11g components. It contains OBIEE components, these components are started the “Oracle fusion middleware console weblogic server”.
