Who is Major Taylor and why is he important to cycling?  Major Taylor is the first person to make the world land speed cycling record.  He was the first African American to achieve the level of world champion.

Why do road bikes have thin tires, while mountain bikes have fat tires?  Road bikes have thin tires because they need to because they help you stay on the road and so your bike wont tip over or slip.  Mountain bikes have fat tires because they help you stay on the trail more easier than thin tires.

Why is the bicycle the most efficient way to travel? How do your muscles work?  Bicycles are the best way to travel because it’s the best way to save gas and to gain energy.  A cyclist's legs provide the power for cycling. Muscle attached to the thighbone (femur) and the shinbone (tibia) do the majority of the work. Your thighbone works like a lever and if it's longer than your shinbone it will provide extra leverage on each stroke of the pedals. The length of your thighbone is determined by genetics, so if you have short thighbones you can blame your parents. The length of the thighbone is not the whole story, though--it takes muscles to move those bones.

A bicycle is a system, name the parts of the bicycles system.  The wheel, Drives Gears, Frames Material, Braking & Steering, Aerodynamics, human power
