EAH expanded its operations to Hawaii in September 1996 with the acquisition, via two local non-profit corporations formed by EAH, of Kalani Garden Apartments in Mililani and Kukui Tower in downtown Honolulu. These properties were purchased with the assistance of Low Income Housing Preservation and Resident Homeownership Act (LIHPRHA) Grants from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. EAH serves as the Managing Agent for both properties. Kalani Gardens consists of 119 Apartments & Kukui Tower has 380 apartments. Continuing its philosophy of providing supportive programs for its residents, EAH opened state-of- the-art Computer Learning Centers at Kalani Gardens in May 1999 and at Kukui Tower in January Computer instruction is offered FREE of charges to residents of the properties. Ms. Louise Li joined EAH as Community Service Director in February Louise has extensive experience working with immigrants and low-income families in affordable housing in the Kalihi-Chinatown area. Her bilingual skills combined with her extensive social work experience and desire to help people make her an excellent liaison for the residents and the community. Ms. Li received a 2008 Industry Award for - Outstanding Achievement by an Affordable Housing Professional awarded by the Affordable Housing Management Association of Northern California, Nevada and Hawaii. Vensun Chang Computer Learning Center Instructor Kukui Tower Phone: (808) We are committed to provide supportive programs that give people a chance to thrive. As the Computer Learning Center Instructor, Vensun has been responsible for organizing and maintaining the computer network system for the Kukui Tower CLC since He offers free computer classes to the adult residents, such as Computer Basics, Word, Excel, Web Browsing, , and Chinese Language Input System. Many of the kids that live in Kukui Tower enjoy coming to the Open Lab Hours, where they can do their homework, meet with their friends and play fun and educational computer games.

Thomas Morton Computer Learning Center Instructor Kalani Garden Phone: (808) Thomas Morton has been the Kalani Garden Apartments Computer Learning Center Instructor since May He has offered free computer learning classes and individual computer tutoring sessions that have helped our residents become more computer literate. Thomas also maintains the Kalani Garden Apartments computer network and the general up keep of the CLC. The goal of our Computer Learning Center is to provide easy access to “up to date” computer technology and offering free computer classes to the benefit of all of our residents here at Kalani Garden Apartments.

Jackie Ka Wai Ma Resources Coordinator KT/KG/BSM Phone: (808) We are committed to provide supportive programs that give people a chance to thrive. Jackie Ma Resources Coordinator Kukui Tower/ Kalani Garden Apartments Phone: (808) Jackie Ma, as the resources coordinator at Kukui Tower and Kalani Garden Apartments. She was an Intern/Volunteer for Kukui Tower while she was studying for her Masters Degree in Social Work. Officially hired as the Resources Coordinator on Sept. 1, 2009, Jackie has extensive experience working with immigrant youth groups. She coordinated and planned special programs to enhance the youth’s monthly activities, such as volunteering in social, cultural and educational events.

Amber has been hired as the Resource Coordinator for West Loch Elderly Village since October Her strong customer service skill and the passion to make a positive impact to this senior community, had bringing new energy to enrich the lives of many residents. Through Amber’s networking with community partners and business vendors in the neighborhood, she was able to provide variety of educational workshops, coordinating special events to promote healthy lifestyles and build stronger relations between residents and the community.
