+ What is Sky? Sky is a very well known broadcasting company run and owned by Rupert Murdoch Murdoch founded sky in the 1989 Sky introduced its satellite TV with four free-to-air channels including Sky News Europe's first 24 hour News Channel. Here is one of sky's early TV commercials

+ Sky In The Beginning As I said before sky started off broadcasting in 1989 with four free-to-air channels. These channels included Sky, Sky movies, Euro sport and Sky News. The Astra satellite was used by sky to broadcast Shortly after sky's release they started charging customers for monthly subscriptions to their services. The subscription service is still run by sky and it comes the form of packages. These packages include many channels such as the sports channels,childrens channels and movie channels

+ Sky Plus The sky plus box was introduced by sky to prevent customers from missing any moment on their channels The sky plus box allows customers to pause and rewind TV shows even when the shows are airing live The sky plus box was an extremely successful product for sky Since then sky has created boxes with built in HD TV along with sky plus. + Sky Broadband As part of its subscription service sky introduced a broadband service This broadband service allows customers access to the internet as well as their TV shows The broadband is included in many of the packages that sky has to offer Sky Broadband offers the best overall customer satisfaction ratings compared to BT and Virgin media.

+ SKY HD Sky HD is another feature created by sky to allow their customers to watch their TV shows in High Definition. This feature is also included in the packages that sky provide to their customers Sky gives customers access to these HD packages for £36 a month including a free 32” LG TV This HD TV is revolutionary because when sky first started out they used only the Astra satellite system.

+ SKY 3D Sky has also created a software through their broadcasting where they allow customers to view shows in 3D. This is also a massive jump for sky because not many other broadcasting companies allow this. Sky 3D allows its customer s to have a great cinema experience in their own homes.

+ Conclusion In conclusion to my points expressed I would like to say that since it started out sky has made massive improvements They are one of the most broadcasting companies available in the UK at the moment I look forward to seeing what sky has to show us next.
