 Static electricity is used for dust removal, they use static electricity to alter the charges in the dust particles so that they stick to a plate. Static electricity is also used for a photocopy machine, they use static electricity to copy the ink on the places where the information is needed. They use static electricity for car painting so that they make sure that the paint can resist the weather to protect the cars metal interior.

 Static electricity causes lightning, the details are unclear and people still debate it but most believe that lightning is caused when there is contact between ice particles and storm clouds.

 1. Rubbing a balloon to your head and bringing close to the wall to see if it stays mounted.  2. Shuffling your feet across a carpeted floor and then touching a metal object.  3. Rubbing an object against a material and it placing it beside running water.  4. Going down a slide and then touching a person to shock them.  5. When some one touches the van de graaff generator their hair will stand up.

 Static electricity can cause diseases, illnesses, cancer and pre-mature aging. It is not EMF- radiation that causes the problem but it is the static electricity that interferes with the nervous system and the bio-chemical life process.

 The problem with static electricity in nature is that if the lighting reaches the ground it could be very dangerous as that it can catch a person or cause a natural fire.
