Education Background Graduated from the University of Illinois (UICU) Studied at the University of Granada, Spain Master’s from Roosevelt University, Schaumburg

Work Experience This is my 4 th year at SHS Taught 6 th grade bilingual education at Holmes Middle School, Wheeling, IL

Mission Statement My goal is to facilitate students' acquisition of a foreign language. I hope to develop their mastery of the four vital skills of communication (reading, writing, speaking and listening) while providing them the opportunity to learn another culture's music, art, literature and history. To facilitate this, I will use real-life experiences, the use technology and Total Physical Response (TPR), online tutorials, etc. As part of the department, I will work as a team and collaborate in order to help our students meet the ISBE standards and as well our district standards.

Philosophy of Teaching In an increasingly diverse society, a second language is essential and should be part of every young person's education. I believe it is my job to expose students to all aspects of a language and increase their knowledge base on the French/Spanish speaking world.
