Business laid off workers to reduce expenses. 5

homesMany were unemployed & lost their homes. Squatters built shacks. 6

Many families became migrant. By 1930, 3 million kids were not going to school!!! Moving from place to place in search of jobs. 7

Man in hobo jungle killing turtle to make soup Many of the poor would eat them. They would make souvenirs & try to sell them.
