The school implements educational work and provides various forms of professional support to children/ students with different disabilities through: Preschool education Primary school Rehabilitation Extended stay Center services It also provides services for inclusive accommodation and nutrition of students through: Boarding school

School mission Our school promotes the richness of diversity. It engages, suggests, introduces and implements various programmes and activities in accordance with the needs of children and students. The aim is to educate, empower, support, promote and involve children into the environment.

The School History The first class was founded in and in the Special school for hearing impaired children was officially formed.

The school building was built In It was named after a famous professor,a special education teacher Miodrag V. Matić. In it grew into school with boarding for children from the region.In the school status was changed to Center for educational support for children / students with various disabilities.

School activities School implements educational work and provides various forms of professional support to children - students with various disabilities. for children:  With hearing impairment  With impaired mental development  With a visual impairment  With multiple disabilities  With autism spectrum disorders  With difficulties in speech and language development  With specific disabilities  With disturbances in emotional and behavioral functions  With motor disorders  With chronic diseases

1.Education of children/students with different disabilities Since the school year 2010/2011. the education of students is carried out according to the mainstream curriculum. According to the law, the school brings individualized programmes for every student who needs additional support in education, with the aim to achieve optimal possibilities for children.

The school organizes subjects revision and extracurricular activities (art,creative workshops,sport, computers,drama, culinary workshops, ecological workshops, gardening and lessons “Show what you know”.) drama

2. The school implements procedures of working with children/students with different disabilities through: – hearing and speech exercises – classes with speech pathologist – psychomotor exercises – sensory stimulation (sensory room)

3.The school provides early rehabilitation procedures for children with different disabilities (since the age of one) 4.Provides assistance to Inclusive teams The school provides support in making individualized education programmes (IEP) and provides advisory help for teams in primary schools and kindergartens

The school organizes and implements support to mainstream schools and kindergartens, working with students with various disabilities -Support takes place in the school premises with the use of special equipment and means for work. - Support is carried out once or twice a week. - In kindergartens, the special education teachers give support to children

6.Provides services -observation of children – accomodation of children and parents during observation – programme for helping parents – transportation of children 7. Extended stay - school subjects revision– helping children from mainstream primary schools in learning – helping children from secondary schools in learning – participation in different forms of extra-curricular activities

8. The school is interlinked with pediatric services, social work centres and other relevant institutions. 9. Continuous work on the inclusion of children with disabilities who are outside of the educational system.

FEATURES The classrooms are equipped with general teaching aids, as well as with specialized teaching aids and equipment. Audiological cabinet has KSAFA apparatus, audiometer, audio-visual teaching aids

Besides obligatory activities, the school follows the new forms of work and technology, constantly acquiring didactic materials, equipment and assistive technology. It acquires contemporary literature and invests in PD of employees.
