Why should I learn Russian properly?

Why should I learn Russian? be better educated all international education research shows bi-lingualism improves educational performance generally, including in English/ other language of adoption; strengthens personal identity and self- confidence, which also improves study; you can pick up extra GCSE & A levels; develops an enquiring nature & cultural awareness

Why should I learn Russian? do better in your career strengthens your CV; may help you in business or other work; makes you more of an international, multi-cultural person better able to operate in a globalised world

Why should I learn Russian? develops cultural & hobby interests & abilities singing & poetry Russian history & culture good Diaspora cultural public relations for Russian speakers

Why should I learn Russian? Better social & family skills at school & in the community when you go to Russian-speaking countries closer relations with family as a UK adult in business, as a school governor, in local politics etc.

Why should I learn Russian? Honour sacrifices of Second World War & legacy of European culture

Why should I learn Russian? Keep out of trouble If learning Russian helps you in education, social and family life, improves personal identity and hobby interests and in getting a job, this will keep you out of trouble…… Anti-dementia preparation

How can I learn Russian? Start early, the younger, the better Speak Russians always at home; Tell & read Russian stories to young children; Involve all family members; Sing at home and on car journeys; Perform at birthdays & at community events Example of a university lecturer / daughter

How can I learn Russian? Study & perform at a school Register at a supplementary school; Speak with Primary School governors to persuade Primary Schools to teach Russian; Register at a secondary school which teaches Russian; Register with special supplementary GCSE & A-level classes; Join cultural groups performing in Russian
