The BIG picture What’s it all about? What’s it all about? What are your learning stars? Let’s make learning star hats! What have we found out? Where are your learning stars? How do your learning stars work? Next slide

Your brain is full of special stars. They are your learning stars. Next slide

You have more stars in your brain than there are stars in the sky! Next slide

Whenever you learn, you grow new points on your learning stars!

So learn, grow points and sparkle!

Your learning stars like to share what they learn to help you remember, just like you telling a friend what you learn! Next slide

eyes mouth nose body ears Next slide

Now you are going to make a hat to wear and take home to tell everyone all about what you have found out Next slide

Step 1 Cut out 4 card circles – any colour Next slide

Step 2 Cut out 4 triangle strips to get 24 triangles all together Next slide

Step 3 Draw a big happy face on each circle Next slide

Step 4 Stick 6 triangles on to each circle so that each one looks like these, then glitter them to make your learning stars sparkle! Next slide

Step 5 Cut out 3 rectangle strips – any colour Next slide

Step 6 Now ask your teacher to staple these together so that they make a band to fit around your head. Next, ask her to staple your 4 learning stars to the band so that your hat looks like this Next slide

Step 7 You have finished – well done! Go and look at your hat in a mirror and remember what these very special stars in your head do when you learn! Next slide

Be a little sparkler! And remember, the more you learn, the more you twinkle and sparkle and the more you twinkle and sparkle, the smarter you will become! Have fun!!! Next slide

So what do you need to remember to be a little sparkler? Learn and grow points Be sure to twinkle and sparkle
