Hardware Status PLC is installed and is running Siemens hardware has been complete for months. CAEN hardware infrastructure is complete, a few power modules are yet to be installed. Interlock line between Master PLC and Pixel PLC exists. (See Andromachi for test results.)

Software Status PLC –The code is running stably. –Cycle time is 50ms. –Initial Alarm values have been in operation for months. PVSS –The FSM is working. –Tuning of system parameters is underway. –Software alarms are being installed. –Tuning of parameters will begin with the installation of the detector. (deadbands, alarms etc)

Integration The system is currently running in stand alone mode. This will continue until the detector is inserted and commissioned. When the system has operated stably for a reasonable period we will then integrate with the Strip Tracker DCS (and higher).

Conclusions We have come a long way since I arrived in mid January. We are not quite there yet but are ready to install the detector. The system will be safe to operate with a shifter present. (Pixel in a box has been safely running for several months.) It will become more sophisticated with time. We are happy with our current progress. The chiller safety is our biggest concern.
