Why Physical Therapy is part of my life? When I begin my physical therapy career I understand that it was the perfect profession for me. I love physical therapy and I love help people to rehabilitate. Physical Therapy is a very important profession where I can help people to rehabilitate. I have been working as a physical therapist assistant since I have a lot of experience working with people and I’m still learning about the profession every day. Most people do not know how challenging it is, but at the end you will see most of the goals done. The most satisfying feeling for me is when you see a person getting better and improving.

A physical therapy means treatment of any pain, disease or injury. Physical therapy improves mobility and motion. A pain free movement is important for a quality daily life and the ability to earn a living. Physical therapy is a type of treatment you may need when health problems make it hard to move around and do everyday tasks. It helps to move better and relieve pain. Studies suggest that prolonged sitting can be unhealthy and a walking just a little bit each day reduces the risk of heart attack and stroke. The goal of physical therapy is to make daily tasks and activities easier. For example, it may help with walking, going up stairs or getting in and out of bed. Consistent movement is also important to keep a healthy balance system.

As a physical therapy assistant I treated my family using physical therapy. My mom has neck problems and she received physical therapy for a month and she refers to be much better. My brother, he has low back condition and I also treated him with equipment at my work and he refers to feel better within the condition. Also I have treated friends with conditions such as carpal tunnel syndrome and arthritis. Most of the time, we don’t know about the alternatives we have around to help our health. If you have a condition that I mention or any other condition, you can receive the benefit of physical therapy. You can also talk with friends, family or co workers who doesn’t know about physical therapy to be benefit if they need it. A physical therapist, along with their trained staff, monitors each individual and attempts to correct improper movements, alignments and habits. Every patient is different, every condition is different, for that reason the plan for each patient is individualized, because we all have different types of bodies, different patterns of movement, alignments and habits. Most importantly with physical therapy comes education.

Visualization is the technique of focusing your imagination on behaviors or events you like to have occur in your life. Sometimes we don’t know what to do with our health. Back in 2003 in worked with a home care program, where I used to go to a patients homes to do the physical therapy service. Most of the patients olds and bedridden. When I started to worked with them, they felt like better and with more strength to get out of bed and walked with help. They must need someone to motivate, to help them with excercise and to give support to them. That’s physical therapy.

People will be better from pain if they receive physical therapy. If we have muscle pain we can benefit from physical therapy. If someone needs to recuperate after a car accident, with physical therapy we can solve the problem. If we know people who needs this information about physical therapy we can forward to let them know the benefits about. Today is the day to help others. Today is the day to change someone life. Today is the day to tell the world.

Thanks for your attention!
