Art Portfolio

I write a lot of poems. I also play tennis. I am one of those people who are so easy to make laugh. I usually express myself in my poems or I will write how I feel. I love listening to music also. I have a very short temper so its also very easy to make me mad. I didn’t have a favorite project in Mrs. Faust’s class. I loved doing all of the projects. If I had to choose though I would have to pick the Mask Expression project. I don’t have a least favorite. They may not have turned out as well as I planned but I still like it. My favorite art supply was using the Paper Mache. It was gooey and kind of gross but still fun to use.

Paul Jackson Pollock (January 28, 1912 – August 11, 1956), known as Jackson Pollock, was an influential American painter and a major figure in the abstract expressionist movement. During his lifetime, Pollock enjoyed considerable fame and notoriety. He was regarded as a mostly reclusive artist. He had a volatile personality, and struggled with alcoholism for most of his life. In 1945, he married the artist Lee Krasner, who became an important influence on his career and on his legacy.[4] Pollock died at the age of 44 in an alcohol-related car accident. In December 1956, the year of his death, he was given a memorial retrospective exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City, and a larger more comprehensive exhibition there in More recently, in 1998 and 1999, his work was honored with large-scale retrospective exhibitions at Museum of Modern Art and at The Tate in London.[5][6] This man inspires me because he isn't one of those type of people who draw pictures or paint them. He just throws paint everywhere and just has so much fun with random paint colors. And whatever comes out that’s his art. I like doing that I have a pair of shoes like that.

How did he inspire me to make this you ask? Well like I said earlier, he just has fun with his work. So I decided to0 just have fun with the paint. I love colors and I like the way this looks. My shoes also kind of go with his work.

This is my portfolio. This was the first thing I made. This is what I keep all my drawings and things in. I drew the heart because I love drawing that picture. On the back there is a little alien looking guy and his name is Pon. I'm not very good drawer but I enjoyed this project.

For this project We had to use Four hand signals and spell out a word we liked, a symbol we could make, or just four hand positions. I spelled out the word Girr I spelt it with two r’s because I needed another letter. I like Gir. He comes off a show called Invader Zim, For people who were wondering. I liked Doing this project because I like to Paint and it was a lot easier than I thought it was going to be.

For this project we had to make a school supply. We had to use everyday object, like cardboard, paper, and just different materials. Then once the model was built we had to Paper Mache the model. Last we had to paint it. Then when were finished, Mrs. Faust took a picture and then we put it in the library.

The first picture of the Roman Coliseum was when I finished working on it. The second picture was when it was finished in the kennel and glazed. I loved playing with clay it was really fun.

This was the second to last project we had to work on. This was our expression mask project. It had to resemble you or an emotion. You had to make it kind of connected to you. I made this one to make a relation to me. I wrote the poem and the colors were meant to go to the poem. The poem talks about life and how you should enjoy it.
