PSYCHOLOGICAL HELP TO INNER DISPLACED PERSONS IN UKRAINE. WOMEN AND CHILDREN STATUS Valentina Bondarovska, Ph.D. Psychological Centre NGO “ROZRADA” Kyiv, Ukraine

Psychological Centre “ROZRADA” provides such projects now: Project “Complex psychological help IDP in the places of their compact living in rural district: early psychological intervention and developing of constant and mobile centresod psychological help” supported by UN Represwentation in Ukraine and Japan Government. Project is implementing in Balaklia district of Harkiv region IDP are living there from Donetsk and Lugansk regions.

We are participating in the implementation by Fund “Health right” of Project “Psychological help to persons who was in captivity and survive after tortures”. ROZRADA psychologists developed the method “Psychological working with couple: “torture victim and his/her partner”. It will be provided the first training for psychologists and social workers at 15 March 2016.

We developed and published with support of UNFPA three booklets: “Feeling from loosing of close person”; “Youth for self defense”; “Help to people who are in the state of Shock, stress or have psychological trauma”.

Ukraine is preparing to ratification of Council of Europe Convention on Preventing and Combating Violence against Women and Domestic Violence (Istanbul, 2011). As a part of EC Project “Preventing and combating Violence against Women in Ukraine” we studied the obstacles faced by victims of violence against women when they seek support and rehabilitation in Ukraine”.

It is extrenaly important now that ROZRADA psychologists created, developed, and practically aprobated: Gazered a lot of methods and practices of psychological help; Created and developed a lot of new methods of psychological help to adults and children who are surviving in the different crisis situations; Provided dozens different trainings for practical psychologists and persons who are surviving in crisis situations;

Provided counselling of adults and children with dufferent traumas and fears; Published textbooks, educational methods, booklets (about 40) and notes (about 10). 5 booklets at

Psychological help to IDPs

It was provided: 3 focus groups with IDPs, teachers and parents of 2 schools of Balakleya district (Kharkiv region); Developing of methods and practice pull for psychological helping to IDPs, adults and children; Developing of 5 days training program and providing training for local practical psychologists; Providing trainings for local psychologists (19 trainings); Individual and group counseling of IDPs, adults and children, parents. Providing of local psychologists working.

Results

Only for 4 months of Project realization: ROZRADA and local psychologists received 590 addresses from adults and children IDP; 570 individual and group psychological help to IDP was done; IDPs, adults and children, received 88 individual consultations; There were provided 45 group consultations for adult and children IDPs; It was provided 5 trainings for IDPs; It was provided 19 trainings for local practical psychologists, social workers, teachers, parents; 200 IDP women were recepients of psychological help; 10 IDP men were recepients of psychological help; 360 IDP children were recepients of psychological help; 32 IDP families were recepients of psychological help.

On the base of 22 years practical working it was established new approach to preparing constants and mobile teams for helping IDPs. It is important to share this sucsessful approch to all Ukrainian regions in particular 5 regions: Donetsk, Lugansk, Kharkiv, Dnepropetrovsk and Zaporizzia. It is important to establish in ROZRADA centre constant educational centre for preparing of psychological teams and supervision of their activities. We need financial support for this important work.
