THE EVOLUTION OF THE MANAGEM ENT in TRANSPORTATION Social and economic development of life has a big impact on transportation management; There is a brand new generation of software lately, which gives us the opportunity of improving every business and activity.

INTELLIGENT SYSTEMS OF TRANSPORTATION Intelligent systems of tracking are based on a wide network of wireless communications, without the use of other electronic systems of control; These modern systems of tracking are installed on the vehicle, therefore they allow us to follow and even to improve the fleet traffic and movement, diminishing fuel consumption, through the control of the speed. All these facts gives us the opportunity of cutting down the costs of the vehicles maintenance.

THE IMPACT of the GPS-GPRS SOLUTIONS Reducing the costs of the use; Incresing the efficiency in using the vehicle fleet; It gives us correct and direct pieces of information; Decreasing the costs and the time of communication; Giving us the opportunity of avoiding writing papers of transportation and archiving all the data; Giving us the possibility of surveillance of all the vehicles, avoiding unauthorized transportation.

SYSTEMS FUNCTIONING management and administration; reporting data; grafic view of the position, the speed and the way/ direction of movement of all the vehicles; – real time watching of the vehicles; –check- out of the planned travel; vector map; monitoring some independent parameters or states of fact.

SYSTEM ADMINISTRATION It provides data of: vehicle fleet; some parameters; POI' s or hot spots; reminders of some data; function of the system.

SYSTEM’ S USE It provides lots of repports, among those: start- stop report an distance report; full reports; fleet of vehicle reports on a given period of time; sensors functioning; stops at POI’s ; tachograph; actual state of the fleet; testing the speed of movement; the personal use of the vehicles; fuel consumption; the fuel tank level.

SYSTEM’ S USE It provides the start- stop report, including data towards: fuel consumption, places, timing the stops, all the distance, in kilometers.

SYSTEM’ S USE Reports concerning: travelling time and stops’ duration; the number of the stops; maximum speed.

SYSTEM’ S USE The system gives us data concernig the functioning of: the engine, the auxiliary engines, cold sensors and so on and so forth.

THE MAP- PARAMETERS The graphic view of the vehicle position, speed and the direction of movement: –real time tracking, –checkin out all the vehicle track. Vector map: –adding or erasing of the hot spots (OPI’s); –adding certain preset OPI’s to the vehicles’ activity reports. Tracking the vehicle fleet, according to a given cathegory: –dividing the vehicle fleet on certain groups of interest; –selective use of tracking ( of non-administrator users), according to level given from the administrator; –Getting external sensors’ information: flowmeters, thermometer, cold sensor and so on and so forth.

GRAPHIC VIEW: The system provides information about: position; speed; directions of movement; tracking of one or more of the vehicles, for a chosen period of time.

GRAPHIC VIEW: The real time supervision of the vehicles position.

GRAPHIC VIEW: The system can track, in real time, the vehicle and also can offer the history towards it.

GRAPHIC VIEW: You can view in details the track of the vehicles;

GRAPHIC VIEW: The system, provides the viewing of the whole track, place by place, as in coloured points.

INTERRACTIVE MAP The system can mark hot spots- POI’ s.

FUNCTIONING ASPECTS

The system can view all the vehicles that use the tracking devices (DDL), due to a sattelite network; All the data are linked to a SERVER, by a localisation device (DDL), through WIRELESS COMMUNICATION NETWORKS; Archiving and use of all data is made by the SERVER; The transmission of all data towards the USER is made on the Internet or through the local networks, directly connected to the SERVER.

CONCLUSIONS TOP SYSTEMS L.T.D. thinks that a systemic approach for planning and designing the transportation is very important, especially taking into considerration the development of effective sercices of delivery and transportation; An integrated system is very important due to the fact that it allows us to know the costs of every task and it gives us a right functioning; The integrated systems are very important because they provides cutting down the costs of the use in transportation- the transport activity being, thus, more effective.
