SUCCESSES S TUDENT A SSISTANCE P R GRAM Success Story #1: Client sought services due to anxiety and depression that he reported began when his father was murdered. Client reported his functioning was severely impacted as he had difficulty sleeping and some nights he would be up all night. Client was new in the country, had no insurance, was unsure about how to maneuver through the system, no reliable mode of transportation and had very little family support. Client completed 4 therapy sessions, was linked with doctor’s services, was compliant with medication and his daily functioning has significantly improved as he now boasts a 4.0 GPA and involvement in various clubs on campus. Client reported that through counseling and psychiatric services he has improved functioning and did not allow his illness, or the many hurdles he had to climb over, define or deter him.

SUCCESSES S TUDENT A SSISTANCE P R GRAM Success Story #2 Client sought counseling after being scammed a large sum of money that she was saving to go on to a University following her graduation from Broward College. The client’s belief in herself was shattered and she began to doubt and question her decision making ability. She even wondered if her choice of University was the right one. Client’s willingness and motivation to work through negative thoughts and beliefs led to the client returning to previous top level of functioning. Client was able to challenge negative thoughts and beliefs that contributed to low self esteem and self doubt. Today, the client has graduated and will be going to UF in the Fall.

SATISFACTION SURVEY METHODOLOGY Henderson administers a student satisfaction survey to every student between his/her 4 th and 5 th session or earlier if he/she is ending services earlier than this session. If a student drops out of counseling, the student is sent a link via , if communication permission is authorized. The student typically enters responses from a computer in the lobby and the survey is through survey monkey. It is anonymous. survey monkey 5 point Likert scale where Strongly Agree and Agree are considered Favorable responses.
