FY 17 Data Overview: Utilization Rate: 7.1% (69% Increase over 4 years) Scheduled Appointments: 3,962 (67% increase over 4 years) Initial Appointments: 442 (79% increase over 4 years) 35% of these students had suicidal ideation Crisis Appointments: 274 (471% increase over 4 years) Referral for Psychiatric Hospitalization: 23 (7 during FY16) Top 5 Presenting Concerns: Anxiety (77%) Depression (68%) Academic Stress (38%) Relationship Issues (30%) Anger (25%)

It’s Good Business & the Right Thing to Do Investing in Student Health & Wellness Yields: Improved academic performance Increased retention Research shows that 25% of students who dropped out of college with <3.0 GPA have screened positive for at least one mental illness. Increased campus safety Majority of violence on campuses is committed by a student who has screened positive for a mental illness, especially perpetrators of partner violence and sexual assault. Reduction in suicide rate Promotion of resilience and reduction in stress Reduction in substance abuse Reduction of class absences Improved morale leading to enhanced engagement Improved health and well-being as alumni
