1 Rescue and firefighting operations on aircrafts and civil aviation facilities (in accordance with Standards and Recommendations of International Civil Aviation Organization) The State Educational Establishment «The Institute for Retraining and Professional Development» of the Ministry for Emergency Situations of the Republic of Belarus

The course is designed to improve the skills of workers in civil aviation fire service to perform the tasks of the airports’ emergency services. The aim of this course is to increase the level of theoretical knowledge and practical skills necessary to perform their professional duties. The main objective of the course - to give the complex knowledge and skills to carry out rescue and fire-fighting operations on aircraft and aviation facilities. 2 IRPD MES Republic of Belarus

3 As the results of training students must : To know: - legislative requirements in the field oа emergency response; - hazards of fire and the conditions of their origin; - organization of fire-prevention work at the facilities of civil aviation; - conditions of formation of psychological capabilities of a rescuer for rescue actions in environment unsuitable for breathing, and under conditions of high temperature; - basic principles, forms and methods of fire-fighting and rescue operations; - modern means of fire rescue units and the prospects for their development; - technical characteristics of emergency rescue tools and equipment, operating procedure. -procedure for first medical aid in the emergency area. 4 To be able to: - perform actions in conditions of emergency; - develop documents on the organization and conduct of combat operations; - make collection and analysis of data of the operational situation and systematization; - organize the interaction of control units, means and forces to eliminate accidents and disasters on the objects of civil aviation; - organize rescue units command and coordinate their activities with other specialized services; - provide first aid to the victims with different types of injuries.
