RHYME SCHEME For most of the song, Lil Wayne uses a rhyme scheme in which the rhyming words occur on beats 2 and 4.

RHYME SCHEME (VERSE 1) The first verse begins as 2 and 4 rhyme scheme in which the first thee lines (measures) end with a different vowel sound. AA (long o sound) BB (long e sound) CC (long e sound) But then the C rhyming words begins Wayne begins to use that same vowel sound on beats 2 and 4.

RHYME SCHEME (VERSE 1) This rhyme scheme of 2 and 4 is interrupted on the 9 th and 10 th line of the verse in which he put the rhymes only on beat 4. Uses a long a sound for the rest of the verse This repetition of the phrase will be discussed a later on.

RHYME SCHEME (VERSE 1) One cool feature of Lil Wayne’s rhymes Rhyming “Strength” and “Length” with “rank” and “kink” This due to Wayne’s dialect. This technique is used a lot in Hip Hop the dialect of a region (New Orleans) may change some of the vowels This contradicts traditional rhyming conventions found in rhyming dictionarys

RHYME SCHEME (HOOK) The hook is very simple “Go Getta” rhymes with “No Quitta” and the end of every other line

RHYME SCHEME (VERSE 2) The second verse uses a multiple syllable rhyme scheme using the long e sound on beats 2 and 4 First two lines end with “victory, consistently” and “enemy’s misery”

RHYME SCHEME (VERSE 2) The next 8 lines Wayne plays with the rhyme scheme rhythm by place the long e sound on 2 and 4; 1, 2, and 4; and 2, 3, and 4. Breaks the monotony of the verse verse.

RHYME SCHEME (VERSE 2) The verse is divided by the 11 th line in which the rhyme only occurs at the end of the verse. Then concludes with the rhymes on 2 and 4.

RHYME SCHEME (VERSE 3) The last verse is a mixture of rhymes on beat 4 of one line with rhymes on beats 2 and 4. All rhymes in this verse use a short i sound.

UNIQUE FEATURE The last two line includes a phrase that is repeated: “until I have won whatever we win” “until I have won, and then I re-win” Very similar to two lines in the first verse: “If I don’t do it now, I’ma try it again” “And when I do accomplish it, I’ma try it again”
