Evolutionary Anthropology is interested in how and why humans and human societies have changed over time.

Comparative Anthropology seeks evidence from all human societies--past and present.

The Cultural Anthropologist Concerned with culture and its relation to human nature, society, and history.

Methods Participant Observation: Research method where anthropologist “goes native”-attempts to integrate and participate as much as possible in the life of the community. Fieldwork: Extended research period of close involvement with people whose way of life is being studied--6mos- year.

Ethnography A “thick description” of the particular culture being studied. A published work PhD. dissertation
