This is the student book version that matches the teacher version. Some of the illustrations from the book have been removed to provide opportunities for students to draw their own illustrations to match the text. Teachers can then take pictures of the student illustrations with a digital camera and insert those pictures into this document and create a class book with student work. The amount of text can also be edited to provide opportunities for students to write.

First, Peter is building with blocks but he has to be quiet because of the new baby.

Next, Peter’s dad is painting all of Peter’s old things pink.

Then, Peter’s dad wants to paint his chair pink, so Peter takes his chair and runs away.

Then, Peter tries to sit in his chair and realizes something……….

He is too big!

So Peter decides to give his chair to his sister and helps paint it pink.

Peter realizes that his parents have enough love and attention for him and his new sister. What did Peter realize at the end of the story?
