ARM Validation Instrumentation At Central Facility Instrumentation –Profiling Instrumentation RS-90 Vaisala radiosondes –3-hourly launches (0230, 0530, 0830 UTC, …) Raman LIDAR –Water vapor mixing ratio (first gate at 100 m agl, 70 m resolution) –Relative humidity (with AERI temperature profile) –8 km at night, 3 km during day, to cloud base, 10 minute temporal AERI (Atmospheric Emitted Radiance Interferometer) –Temperature and moisture –3 km or to cloud base, 10 minute temporal –Passive instrument 915 MHz, 50 MHz profiler, and 404 MHz (NOAA) (with RASS)
