The Analysis of English Fairy Tales Based on Brothers Grimm’s Stories The Object – the texts of fairy tales in the German language, their translations into English and renderings by an English- speaking author. The Subject – the alterations that took place in the translations of Brothers Grimm’s Tales into English as the result of their transmission. The Aim – to retrace the influence of the English language and English traditions on the fairy tales translated from German. The Tasks: - to define the main characteristics of fairy tales; -t-to study the origin of fairy tales and their history; -t-to describe English fairy tales and their main features; -t-to get acquainted with the works by Brothers Grimm; -t-to compare fairy tales by Brothers Grimm and their versions in the English language; -t-to describe, analyze and classify the transformations that took place in the fairy tales.

Structure of the Present Bachelor’s Paper Introduction Theoretical Unit: - historical development of fairy tales as a genre of folklore narratives; -c-classifications of fairy tales; -m-main features of English tales; -t-the Brothers Grimm’s bibliography.
