WHAT IS SMART HOUSE.PART I. A house which is very functionally designed and which derives all its inputs for proper functioning from NATURE, with ample natural light, ventilation and does not depend upon any mechanical gadgets for its functioning. It is energy efficient, uses materials which have low embodied energy and which are eco friendly such as clay, thatch, bamboo, wood etc. It does not depend upon any external agency but generates its own resources to fulfills basic livelihood needs In short it merges well with surrounding nature, uses locally available material, encourages local labor and craftsmanship , uses recycled materials and adds value to the owner.

WHAT IS SMART HOUSE-Part II What are basic livelihood needs of the house. Clean Drinking Water . Healthy Toilet Facility. Fuel For Cooking.(Bio Gas etc) Electricity. Income Generating Skill and Self Employment related Entrepreneurship. Healthy and Nutritional Food. Financial Security. Spiritual, Contented and Positive approach to Life.

SMART HOUSE COMPONENTS.I. Water Filter. Eco san toilet. Rain water Storage Tank. Bio-Gas Plant. Solar Cooker. Solar Dryer.

SMART HOUSE COMPONENTS. II. Moringa leaves. Solar lighting. Food Processing. Cereal, Protein food etc.

Clean Drinking Water. Rain water storage Tank of 5000 lit Capacity. Water Filter. Must For every house.

CLEAN, HEALTHY AND INCOME GENERATING TOILET. Urine diverting and excreta composting toilet Generating more agri produce and income to farmer.

Income generating Toilet. By using eco san toilet, We save water. Urine can be used as fertilizer. Excreta and kitchen waste is converted in Good compost which can be sold for minimum 5000 rs per tonne.. It can be used in kitchen garden to grow fruits, vegetables etc.

FUEL FOR COOKING. Solar Cooker will use abundant solar energy. and save on Fuel cost. Bio Gas will make cooking, external energy independent and will save on LPG cost.

SOLAR ELECTRICITY. Solar Power will make the house any external energy independent. It will save on electricity bill. Small business can be started in the house. Students can study till late hours. More productivity in the house.

GREY WATER RECYCLING. In all future buildings, along with Rain Water Harvesting ,Grey Water Treatment Plants will have to be installed to save scarce water resources.

NUTRITIONAL FOOD. Nutritional food like Moringa Leaves, cereals,Milk, eggs, fish etc will improve the health of family members.

SKILL BASED EDUCATION AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP. By doing small business like food processing or solar drying farmers can earn extra income and support their families. What we require is an attitudinal change and more community participation approach in rural area.
