Indian Head Massage Chakra’s This will help you to complete task b of unit assignment

What does “Chakra” mean? The chakras are seven centres of energy present in the ethereal body – about two centimeters away from the physical body They are related to specific sites in the physical body, neuroplexus and endocrine glands or organs along the spinal column where they interact to create balance within the body. Each chakra is a different colour and shape, described as solid ball of spinning energy (which spins clockwise) and has a specific number of petals. These petals represent energy channels through which energy passes from one chakra to another to create physical, emotional and spiritual balance and a general feeling of wellbeing. If the petals of the chakra are not fully opened it becomes blocked and prevents the free flow of energy. This can occur with stress and leads to either emotional or physical imbalance affecting general wellbeing.

Where do you find Chakra’s?

Chakra’s and Indian Head massage With Indian head massage, we treat the crown, brow and throat chakras. However these three chakras are linked by this energy system to all the other chakra and therefore cannot be separated, as the energy runs from the root to the crown chakra. The amount of energy flowing through the chakras determines how well an individual functions. During an Indian head massage, the therapist will be able to feel any imbalance in the form of either a tingling sensation or change in temperature such as heat or cold. By working on the three higher chakras this can help to restore harmony and energy, creating a feeling of peace and rejuvenation at the end of the Indian head massage treatment, which is why the chakras are important within Indian head massage treatment.

The principles of the seven chakras in relationship to Indian head massage To balance and restore harmony and energy To balance physical and emotional problems To create a feeling of wellbeing To rejuvenate and create a sense of peace To give a feeling of alertness
