PREWRITING OUTLINING CONCEPT MAPPING (WEBBING) LISTS BRAINSTORMING Prewriting is the first step of the writing process. This is when you get all of your ideas written down so that you have material from which to work. Prewriting can take several different forms.

DRAFTING SELECT BEST IDEAS INCLUDE TOPIC SENTENCES INCLUDE CONCLUDING SENTENCES INCLUDE DETAIL SENTENCES INCLUDE INTRODUCTORY PARAGRAPH INCLUDE CONCLUDING PARAGRAPH INCLUDE AT LEAST 3 DETAIL PARAGRAPHS Drafting is the second step of the writing process. During this stage, your essay takes form. Writing a rough draft is very important and will lead to successful writing.
