P2 – Types Of Computer by Ridjauhn Ryan

introduction In this presentation I'll be showing you several different types of computers. Some of them you may be familiar with.

Personal computer/Pc A pc is used in fixed area and hold data from one user hence the name ‘personal’ it can be used in a house, work, public & lounge environment. Used to access Microsoft office, and the internet it can also be used to access music and video files as well as business documents and other applications and software.

Server A server is an application, operating system, computer, or appliance. A sever is a physical computer a computer hardware system dedicated to running one or more services as a host. They can also connect to other computers.

Embedded devices An embedded device is Any electronic system that uses a custom made computer which is made to fit into specific computers, computer chip, the could also be found in laptops, cars, planes, jets, helicopters, tv, tablets, mobile phones and other

Mainframe computer Mainframe computers are powerful computers used primarily by corporate and governmental organizations for critical applications and bulk data processing. Mainframe is used in business where the data to be processed is too huge and has to be processed too many times and may require too much CPU cycles where the else of the computers may flunk. Mainframes are very similar too supercomputers which can process huge number of transactions in small amount of time.

Personal Digital Assistant/PDA A Pda is mainly used to notify the user, its used to remind, inform, and help keep track of the events that happen every day. its also supposed to be a portable pc. pda is also a mobile device that functions as a personal information manager.

Supercomputer A supercomputer is similar to a mainframe computer they both process large quantities of data in a small amount of time. A supercomputer is a computer at the frontline of current processing capacity, particularly speed of calculation. They are mainly used in major organisations and businesses that need to calculate large equations such as NASA, Microsoft, Google and Apple

Games consoles Games consoles are essentially made to Entertain; videos, images, Music, Games, socialising and most Recently Exercise. Most consoles are used to socialise and Entertain. There are many different types of consoles and different types of games; such as shooting, adventure, RPG, Fighting, sports, family and many others.

Conclusion In this presentation I have informed you about many individual types of computers, they all have their individual shapes, sizes and purposes. Some are more common than others you might not even have noticed But this presentation should've opened your eyes to more of them.
