*The setting of the book is Putnam CN.* Madison MacDonald is looking forward to a summer of fun with her friends and boyfriend. An unexpected visitor from Madison’s past reappears in her life and trys to ruin her plans, as well as her happiness. Madison has to give up her friends and boyfriend to keep their deepest secrets safe.

Protagonist *The protagonist is Madison MacDonald. Madison has recently gotten over the major hacking of her “Friendverse” and is ready to spend the summer with her BFFs and her new boyfriend, Nate. She thinks that she is the happiest that she has ever been, until a dramatic turn in events almost ruins her life. Madison: Eleanor Calder

Antagonist The Antagonist is Isabel Ryan. Isabel was humiliated in front of her whole school at prom. She has top secret information on each of Madison’s friends that will hurt them, if released. She forces Madison to ‘dump’ her friends and boyfriend, without explination, or she will release the information. Isabel: Perrie Edwards

Central Conflict The central conflict is between Madison, her friends, and Isabel. Each of Madison’s friends has a secret that would ruin their lives if it got out. Isabel forces Madison to ‘dump’ all of her friends. If she doesn’t, then Isabel will release her friend’s secrets.

What I Say I think that Unfriended is a great book that is well written and relates to teenage girls of this time. it is an easy read and I recommend that every girl between the ages of 13 & 18 read it.
