Why create an Academic Wall of Fame? P-O has a proud academic tradition that has gone unnoticed by our community and the state. For example we have produced the following academically: 1. State Representatives 2. Military Academy graduates 3. Movie Producers 4. Engineers, Doctors, Lawyers, etc.

The task of recognizing outstanding academic and public accomplishments of our past students, was taken on by the P-O High School Public Relations Committee: 1. Chairperson - Lisa Chorle 2. Don Blake 3. John Bober 4. Jeff Hartmann 5. Larry Kolbe 6. Greg Minarchick 7. Mike Minarchick 8. Tracy Vipond 9. Dena Cipriano

The committee worked closely with Mr. Jeffrey Hartmann, Mr. Don Blake, and Mr. John Bober to plan and build the Hall of Fame Alumni Wall.

This Year’s Recipient Mr. Timothy Lee Bainey – Class of 1976 We, the Philipsburg-Osceola Public Relations Committee, are pleased to inform you that Tim Bainey has been chosen as the first recipient of the P-O Learners, Today’s Leaders award. This honor was developed by the Public Relations Committee at the P-O High School this year as a way to recognize a Philipsburg-Osceola graduate who utilized his or her P-O education to the fullest.

Why was Mr. Bainey Picked ? Since graduation from P-O in 1976, Mr. Bainey has become a successful businessman, entrepreneur, and civic leader. He is the owner of Bainey Trucking, Bainey Racing, and other business ventures. He supports our school’s programs with his dedication, attendance and monetary donations.

How was Mr. Bainey picked? This year members of the committee nominated people they felt were worthy. Discussion on candidates followed. Each person then cast a vote to Mr. Hartmann to tally.
