Course:  Name:  Organizational behavior  Type:  Obligatory departmental requirement  ID.  MGEN 4321  COURSE CR. Hrs.  3 Hrs. per week 1–1

Course Description:  The course offers an analysis of the organization behavior through analysis of individual behavior and group behavior in view of their effect on the efficiency of an organization. This class is designed to combine theory and practice in order to bring about a better understanding how individuals, teams, and organizations function. Particular emphasis is placed on the role of leaders in organizations. The behavioral factors that influence performance perceptions attitudes and personality and how various motives through effective leadership that provide interdepartmental effective communication within the organization are profoundly discussed. 1–2

Syllabus: Upon completion of the course, students will be able to: 1.To understand the importance of understanding behavior in the organization. 2.To identify the major factors that influence behavior in the organization. 3.To identify the individual, psychological, and organizational variables that influence organizational behavior. 4.Understand the vital roles of employee satisfaction, commitment, and performance 5.Learn the role that individual personality plays in job performance 6.Develop effective decision-making frameworks 7.Understand how to harness emotions and change attitudes 8.Learn effective team-building techniques and proven methods of motivating others 9.Consider different approaches to leadership which are based on scientific theories 10.Learn to manage organizational culture and organizational change 1–3

By the successful completion of this unit, students will be able to: Understanding the insightful reasons that make the behavior of employees is different depending upon social, cultural, hereditary, and job factors. Recognizing the nature of work teams, motivation, and the role that the manager should play to meet the needs of subordinates. Grasping the key conditions which would lead to increasing the effectiveness of the organization. 1–4
