Lipstick In Egypt About 5,000 years women were possibly the inventors of lipstick. They used crushed semi- precious jewels to decorate their lips and around their eyes. Women of the Indus Valley Civilization, existed from 3,000 BCE to 1,500 BCE, tinted their lips with a red colour. Ancient Egyptian women used lipstick too. They used purplish dye from seaweed, and some iodine and bromine mannite. Cleopatra, made her lipstick from the red colour from crushed carmene beetles and ants.

THE CHEMISTRY OF LIPSTICK Lipstick is usually a solid waxy material mixed with nonvolatile oil, So it can spread easily but stay stiff In the tube. Composition use Beeswax and Castor oil, or camuba Wax. Lipstick includes Eosin, Carbon, Oxygen and Bromine. It becomes Intense red when it reacts with NH2 group in protiens on the surface of the skin.

Every Day Life Lipstick is apart of fashion, design and expression. It has been used all around the world. It’s a form of art also. Lipstick enhances women beauty.
