Students will write sentences in two different color inks; one color is used for the subject and another for the predicate. Have students cut out directions and pictures to paste in their journal EASY – Action is obvious INTERMEDIATE – Action is subtle DIFFICULT – No action (State of being)

Directions Write in cursive in your writing journal. Use two different color inks to write each sentence; use one color for the subject and another for the predicate. Include a color-key to explain what each color represents (subject or predicate). Underline the simple subject and the simple predicate. Use capitals and punctuation correctly.
