RI Awards for Clubs Presidential Citation Nominators: District governors Deadlines: 6 April- Clubs to submit completed forms to their district governor for certification 10 April- District governors to submit club and district results to RI

2. Significant Achievement Award Nominators: District governors Deadline: March 15 Presidential recognition of a club activity which addresses a significant problem or need in the community. A district selects one project and submits nomination to RI. A president-appointed selection committee evaluates nominations. RI Awards for Clubs

3. Recognition of Smaller Club Membership Growth Nominators: District governors Deadline: 16 May- 30 June This district-level award offers an incentive to clubs that fall below the charter requirement of 20 members by recognizing the challenges and achievements of small clubs. RI Awards for Clubs

4. RI Membership Development and Extension Award- MDEA Nominators: District governors Deadline: Beginning 15 May, district governors submit recognition forms to RI. This district-level certificate program recognizes membership growth in existing clubs, retention of current club members, and the organization of new clubs. 5. RI Recognition of Membership Development Initiatives- MDI Nominators: District governors Deadline: District governors must receive submissions from clubs by 15 April. RI must receive submission forms from district governors by 15 May. This district-level certificate recognizes clubs for the development and implementation of a creative plan or strategy to support one of the three primary foundations of membership growth and development: retention, recruitement of qualified new members, or the organization of new Rotary clubs. RI Awards for Rotarians Avenues of Service Citation Nominators: Club presidents Deadline: Ongoing This citation program provides a way for Rotary clubs to personally recognize one club member for his or her outstanding efforts in the five Avenues of Service. A club member must have demonstrated support of the Object of Rotary through active participation in each of the five Avenues of Service: Club, Vocational, Community, International, and New Generations. Nominees must be an active Rotarian and can only receive the award once.

RI Awards for Rotarians Club Builder Award Nominations: District governors Deadline: 1 November This award recognizes Rotarians who have made a significant impact in supporting and strengthening their Rotary clubs. District governors may nominate one candidate from their district each year.

RI Awards for Rotarians Each Rotarian: Reach One, Keep One Award Nominations: Club presidents Deadline: Ongoing This award allows Rotary club presidents to nominate and recognize individuals for sponsoring new members while focusing on retention. There are several award categories: Gold pin and certificate: for Rotarians bringing 25 members into any Rotary club, with 20 still active after six years Silver pin and certificate: for Rotarians bringings 10 members into any Rotary club, with 8 still active after four years Bronze pin and certificate: for Rotarians bringing five members into any Rotary club, with four still active after two years

RI Awards for Rotarians RI Service Above Self Award Nominators: District governors, immediate past district governors, RI directors, past RI directors Deadline: 1 September As Rotary's highest honor for individual Rotarians, this award recognizes up to 150 Rotarians annually who have demonstrated exemplary humanitarian service, with an emphasis on personal volunteer efforts and active involvement in helping others through Rotary. Current district governors, directors, and past directors may nominate up to three candidates by September 1 each year.

RI Awards for Rotarians The Rotary Foundation Distinguished Service Award Nominators: Any Rotarian Deadline: 15 November Four complete Rotary years after receiving the Citation for Meritorious Service, a Rotarian becomes eligible for the Distinguished Service Award. Because this is the Foundation's highest service recognition, a recipient's exemplary service to the Foundation must extend beyond the district level and occur over an extended period of time.

Each recipient is given a certificate, awarded at the district level. District governors may obtain up to 20 blank certificates at no cost to their district.

RI Awards for Rotarians Service Award for a Polio-Free World Nominators: Any Rotarian Deadline: 1 November This award was established by the Trustees of the Rotary Foundation in order to recognize outstanding constributions to the effort by Rotarians and thereby to encourage final efforts. In geographic areas coinciding with WHO regions, up to ten regional service awards per region are given annually. These awards recognize outstanding service in polio eradication. International awards, for broad service to the cause of polio eradication, are also made annually, not to exceed ten individuals.

RI Awards for Clubs PRESIDENTIAL CITATION The Presidential Citation recognizes Rotary clubs for achieving an array of accomplishments that help them become stronger, deliver more effective service, and enhance their public image.

RI Awards for Clubs Procedure: In order to qualify for a citation, clubs must meet the Presidential Challenge and complete one required activity, along with at least three additional activities, in each of the three categories listed. Unless otherwise specified, all activities must be undertaken and completed between 1 July and 31 March of the Rotary year. Clubs should complete the form and send it to the district governor no later than 31 March. Forms sent by clubs directly to Rotary International will not be processed. District governors must report the names of their qualifying clubs through Member Access no later than 15 April.
