National Health Improvement Review Why is this review happening? In 2011 Professor Sir Mansel Aylward undertook a review of a number of key national Health Improvement Programmes at the request of the Minister for Health and Social Care ‘time should be taken to more fully consider the future directions for health improvement programmes in Wales’.

Aim, Objectives & Scope Aim ‘To review health improvement and health improvement programmes in Wales’ Objectives: To be able to make recommendations on: The future direction of health improvement The most effective means of delivering sustainable health improvement / programmes to achieve the best outcomes Opportunities to strengthen the holistic delivery of health improvement and ensure VFM The role of Public Health Wales and other contributors in delivering health improvement Scope: To include all health improvement programmes or initiatives funded by Public Health Wales and WG DHSSC.
