Reason: 1.Higher data rate for Kiosk application by simple extension on mandatory mode LR1-SF1 with BPSK and RS(255,239) Advantages: 1.Easy to implement if the devices are using LR1-SF1, without adding any new coding scheme. 2.The performance difference from the MCS with the nearest data rate, MR4 is 1.9 dB in CM2.3 (BER of 10e-6). This gives the implementers flexibility to select either a 1.9dB better performance (for higher reliability) or lower complexity in good channel conditions.
