Doc# proposed 3 SFDs (Plan A, B, and C) and Doc# proposed one SFD Plan D As a result of discussion by proposers, Plan B is the mandatory SFD and Plan D is optional SFD. The word “mandatory SFD” means that all g compliant devices need to implement the SFD . 4 Way Forward for SFD for MR-FSK
Define a PIB attribute with 0 indicating that the SFD’s are defined according to Plan B and with 1 indicating that the SFD’s are defined according to Plan D. It is mandatory that a device be capable of supporting Plan B SFD’s when the PIB attribute has value 0. Attribute Identifier Type Range Description phyMRFSKSFD Integer 0or 1 0 indicates that the SFD value for FEC is “ ” and the SFD value for non-FEC is “ ”; 1 indicates that the SFD value for FEC is “ ” and the SFD value for non-FEC is “ ”. The SFD is transmitted starting from the leftmost bit. It is mandatory that devices be capable of supporting the SFD’s associated with value 0 when value 0 is set.
