CBB Executive Committee

2 11 members elected by full Beef Board Includes 3 officers and past CBB chairman as ex-officio member Meets 5 times annually plus conference calls, as needed CBB Executive Committee

3 Carries out Beef Board policies – acts on behalf of Board, subject to approval by full Board Administers terms and provisions of the Order between meetings of full Beef Board Executive Committee Responsibilities

4 Committee monitors state beef council expenditures by:  Reviewing annual marketing plans and financial statements from each state  Systematic financial and procedural reviews Provides investing & banking guidance through a QSBC Investment Policy, to ensure the safety of beef checkoff funds CBB Executive Committee

5 Committee ensures contractors properly account for checkoff expenditures by:  Conducting periodic compliance audits of all contractors  Ensuring audit issues are properly resolved Ensures Federation funds are expended in accordance with the Act, Order and CBB Guidelines through periodic compliance audits of Federation funds CBB Executive Committee

6 HAS ONE SUBCOMMITTEE: CBB Administration Subcommittee Monitors administration of Act & Order Reviews certification of state beef councils Investigates complaints against checkoff Recommends administrative budget to Executive Committee CBB Executive Committee

7 Review financial and budget reports Ratify Operating Committee actions Approve brand & trade-name references Receive Producer Communications update CBB Executive Committee Standard Agenda Items

8 Review status of SBC marketing plans and financial statements Discuss results of recent financial and procedural reviews of SBCs (Exec Session) Discuss status/results of recent contractor compliance audits (ES) CBB Executive Committee Standard Agenda Items
