5 220kV Nairobi Ring & Associated Substation Scope: 100km, 400kV double circuit line and substations at Ngong, Isinya, Athi River and Koma Rock Contractor: Iberdrola Estimated Cost: Euro 45million (Substations) Financier: AFD, EIB & GOK Commencement: Mar 2013 and Completion: Sep 2014 Purpose: To Increase transfer capacity and increase power reliability

6 LESSOS – TORORO LINE Scope: 132km, 400kV double circuit line and substation works at Lessos Contractor: Inabensa Estimated Cost: Euro 33million Financier: AfDB & GOK Commencement: Sep 2013 and Completion: June 2015 Purpose: The project will increase the power transfer capacity between Kenya and Uganda.

7 Olkaria – Lessos - Kisumu Scope: 300km, 400/220kV double circuit line and substation works at Olkaria, Lessos, New Kisumu and Mamba Leo Financier: JICA & GOK Prequalification Commencement: Jan/Feb 2014

8 Kenya – Tanzania Interconnector Scope: 100km, 400kV double circuit line and substation works at Isinya (Kenya portion) Financier: JICA & GOK Prequalification Commencement: Jun 2014

9 Dongo Kundu – Mariakani line Scope: 50km, 400kV double circuit line and substation works at Dongo Kundu & Mariakani Purpose: The line will evacuate MW from the LNG/CNG power plant in Dongo Kundu Time Line: June 2015

10 Lamu – Kitui – Nairobi East line Scope: 520km, 400kV double circuit line and substation works at Lamu, Kitui & Nairobi East Purpose: The line will evacuate 1000MW from Lamu Coal power plant and 1000MW Kitui coal power plant. Time Line: Dec 2016

11 Menengai – Rongai line Scope: 32km, 400kV double circuit line and substation works at Menengai* & Rongai Financier: World Bank Purpose: The line will evacuate 400MW from Menengai geothermal power plant. Time Line: June 2016

12 Silali – Rongai line Scope: 150km, 400kV double circuit line and substation works at Silali* & Rongai Purpose: The line will evacuate 220MW from Soilo geothermal power plant (1 st Phase). Time Line: June 2016

13 Lamu – Kitui – Nairobi East line Dongo Kundu – Mariakani line Scope: 4 lots EPC Transmission line and 2 lots for EPC Substations Bid submission Date Time Line: 15 th January 2014
