IMPROVING YOUR JOB DESCRIPTIONS TUESDAY 23 RD APRIL Learning objective: To use the feedback on your work to improve your job description so that it hits the criteria for P3.

Success Criteria I have read the advice given to me by my teacher and have added more detail to my work. (Pass) I have done the above and proof read my work and corrected any mistakes that I have found. (Pass) I have done all of the above and started to explain how the job description will help the interviewer and candidate in the recruitment process. (Merit)

Starter Read through the feedback that you have been given. Now on your post it note, set your self a target that you want to achieve by the end of the lesson. By the end of the lesson I will have added more detail about the day to day tasks that a hair stylist would do.

General feedback As a class, your work is too brief and lots of you have rushed your work. As a class, you need to proof read your work before you print it and correct any spelling mistakes that you find. As a class, not enough of you moved on to the extension (merit) task last week. Exemplar piece

Task Having seen the exemplar piece that meets the criteria and having read the advice and feedback on your work, you now need to improve your job description. REMEMBER: You are creating a job description for the position of a HAIR STYLIST, not a receptionist!

Plenary Have you achieved your target? What did you do to ensure that you met your target? Could you have achieved more? How? How could you improve your performance next lesson?

Success Criteria I have read the advice given to me by my teacher and have added more detail to my work. (Pass) I have done the above and proof read my work and corrected any mistakes that I have found.
