The Piano

Scene 1 Geoff sat alone in the midnight coloured room, sitting at the pitch black grand piano stool with only one beam of light shining down on him. His fingers gently danced along the old piano keys, filling the room with a beautiful melody. Even though the tune was beautiful, Geoff was still crying inside, feeling alone with memories drifting around him quietly. I wish my wife was here to play the piano with me

Scene 2 As the tunes rained down to the ground an emerging light began to fill the space, replacing the darkness. Suddenly, smoke surrounded Geoff in astonishment, as it cleared a ghostly figure appeared upon Geoff’s side. The dancing keys filled the gleaming beam, shining above the walking wrinkles on the partners fingers, with mixed emotions. Elizabeth gently leaned her dry, see-through lips onto Geoff’s cheek. Shade’s of grey filled the dark as night room,as it faded one pair of hands remain. I’ve always been with you You came back !

Scene 3 As Geoff’s melody faded into silence. BANG! CRASH! Went bombs in the distance. Leaning against the silver stone two soldiers hid from death. BOOM! Only one solider remained…. Nooo! Came the sound of the solider heart. It’ll be ok don’t leave me Go on with out me heavens a better place

Scene 4 A smile struck like a bolt of lightning across Geoff’s childhood face, as mysterious arms reached out for Geoff to be gifted with a long, wrapped present. A curtain of night fell upon the piano behind the siluette of the young Geoff, down on his knees and tearing the paper like a fierce lion. I wonder what’s inside?

S cene 5 Screaming with joy the boy jumped around on the old ancient hobby horse, filling his face with a grin. He galloped around not thinking about anything. This is so much fun Thank you grandad

Scene 6 A grin as wide as the ocean struck upon Geoff’s face. His grandson leaped like a frog onto the piano stool next to him. Geoff’s tune was coming to an end and his grandson played the last note perfectly. Can you teach me how to play grandad ? Yes of coarse I can lets get started
