 How do you think this person feels?  Why?  Have you ever felt like that?

 Read the story “ A pause that refreshes” on page 151.  Answer the following questions in your journal.

1. Have you ever felt similar to how Josh feels in this story? 2. What do you think made you feel that way? Why? 3. What did you have to do to get your body to feel better? Explain.

 Draw a line of learning under your responses.  Turn to your neighbor and share what you wrote with them. Listen to what they wrote.  Write down any new information you gain from your neighbor under the line you have drawn.

 Move into your cooperative groups.  Answer the questions on the half sheet of paper on your white board. Prepare to share out.
