The HISTORY OF MY SCHOOL NATALIA WROCENSKA V A

My school The history of Primary School No 8 is connected of a new housing in Legionowo named Sands. The Command of First Warsaw Division of Tadeusz Kosciuszko gave school ist own building in Zegrzynska Street No 3. It was time when 500 children had to learn away from home.

My school On 10th of November 1986 the first bellrang in a new school but it was for pupil in classes 0 III only. The first headmistress was Mrs. Helena Mikolajczak.

My school Soon it was decided to build a new school sponsored bz the Division. All materials and documentation were gathered. A new building of area about 4000m2 was rising.

My school On the first of September 1988 after 16 months of works, 1465 students started to learn in the present building. The school was beautifully designed and composed into the landcape.

My school In November 1987 we started collecting all needed documents to give the name of First Warsaw Division of Tadeusz Kosciuszko to our school.

My school On the first of May 1989 the school received a name of the First Warsaw Division and it got an own banner.

My school On 9 th of June 1989 the first pupils of Primary School made a solemn vow and passed the banner to pupil of VII clases.

My school In 1994 the school took care of the monument in honor of Polish who were murdered or died in Siberia in the years

My school In 2000 a new part of building was given to use, so pupils got more classrooms and teachers had theirown teacher room. Up to now our school has been modernized many times. The headmistress is Mrs. Agnieszka Jakubowska.
