Liturgy of the Eucharist (cont)  Communion Rite- We prepare to receive the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ  Lord’s Prayer- We pray the Our Father (Our Father, who art in heaven...)  Sign of Peace- we offer one another Christ’s peace (usually by shaking hands and saying “Peace be with you” )  Breaking of the Bread and the Lamb of God- We pray for forgiveness, mercy, and peace.

Liturgy of the Eucharist (cont)  Communion Rite- We prepare to receive the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ  Communion - We receive the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ. When receiving communion as the Eucharist minister offers you the “Body of Christ” you reply “Amen.”  Prayer After Communion- We pray that the Eucharist will strengthen us to live as Jesus Christ did. (This is done by kneeling/sitting in silence, until the Priest begins speaking again)

Concluding Rite  Blessing - We receive God’s blessing from the priest  Dismissal - We go in peace to love and serve the Lord and one another.
