Greenmeadows School 2011 Digital Daze Cluster Goals Setting the scene (e-portfolios ) We are in the early stages of developing e-portfolios ICT Skills are being developed alongside our understanding of an e-portfolio’s place, purpose and value. A combination of Literacy and ICT goals are being set, reflected and shared.

Goal 1- Digital Citizenship Staff Meeting – 22 February 2011 Staff Mtg-Read article on digital citzenship. In groups discussed & brainstormed & documented what the definition means to us at GMS under literacy, safety, learning starategies & etiquette elements. ICT Team-Collated groups' definitions & decided on appropriate definition on what successful digital citzenship should look like at GMS. GMS Digital Citzenship-Lead Teacher compiled a template of our intepretation of digital citzenship at our school. Follow-Up-To share with staff to discuss, affirm, amend & confirm definition. To share with the community through newsletters, school website.

This is what GMS agreed are the four main areas of digital citizenship. Teachers Portfolio Setting goals that focus on developing cybersafety and information gathering.

Goal 3- Teachers The role of the lead teacher and the co-ordinator has been to: 1 - Initiate e-portfolio building for all staff. 2 – Provide opportunities for the staff to develop the use of ICT in the classroom by: Recognising individual needs and supporting their learning. At the same time being aware of the demands on teacher time – find ways to make learning purposeful and more efficient through the use of ICT. Provide useful skill based sessions. Feedback from courses and meetings, such as Share resources and links that may be useful to learning for staff and students. Encourage and facilitate professional discussion that explores elearning.

Term 1 Goal: To support all teachers in setting up an eportfolio using and set an ICT goal. Evidence: All teachers have created an eportfolio on Many have set a goal and begun to reflect on it. Goal 3 – Lead Teacher

Using Powerpoint to create storybooks that help link reading and writing. Evidence of the development of a students e-portfolio in my class. As the purpose of goal setting and reflection developed over the term my e-portfolio became more useful. I was able to link my ICT development to my teaching practice. This link means that my reflective practice is becoming an organic process.

ICT Goal Setting: All teachers set an ICT goal each term. Reflection on this goal is part of the school appraisal system and directs the next step in ICT learning. Goal 3 - Teachers 1 - Allyson has began use her e-portfolio as a way to document her professional development. She has identified an ICT goal and has begun to store some useful links and sites. This is how Allyson has used her developing ICT skills within her literacy program in classroom.
