The Pronoun  A pronoun is used to substitute a noun (person or thing).  To decide if a word is a pronoun, you need to ask yourself – “ does it substitute a noun? ” For example: Jack plays his oboe every evening. He is learning very fast. ( ‘ He ’ is used instead of repeating ‘ Jack ’
