General Admissions Info Complete applications prior to the deadline. You do not have to wait for ACT/SAT results. Most colleges look at: Rigor – GPA – ACT/SAT scores first. The essay, if required, is also VERY important. Leadership and extra-curricular involvement can sometimes make a difference. An athlete should apply to the college he/she is interested in athletically AND communicate with the college coach.

Scholarships Scholarship newsletter – available in print or online at dctigers.com Scholarship databases Announcements for special scholarships Report all money even if you are not attending that school

HOPE GPA Honors, PIB, AP and IB course grades get added points However, when calculating HOPE GPA the GSFC will subtract these points. The unweighted grade is converted to the 4.0 scale. GSFC then adds.5 to the unweighted GPA score for only the AP and IB courses to a maximum of 4.0.

HOPE GPA Scale 100 – 90 = A = – 80 = B = – 71 = C = = D = / below = F = 0
