Introduction: Where is Nemo?!?!?!? Today is your lucky day! You are going on an underwater adventure where you will meet a new friend to bring back to our classroom aquarium. You may have to dodge sharks and underwater volcanoes along the way but I think that you are up for the challenge. Don’t forget your scuba gear and be ready to get wet!

Task: 1,2,3 DIVE! Your job as an underwater explorer is to become an expert on an animal living in the ocean. You will investigate information on your animal and write a creative story incorporating this information along with a visual drawing of the animal which we will put in our classroom aquarium. 1,2,3 DIVE! Your job as an underwater explorer is to become an expert on an animal living in the ocean. Process Follow the steps below in order to complete your webquest: 1. I will divide you into 3 groups of 6 students. Each student will be assigned 1 of 6 different animals living in the ocean: Sea Turtle Humpback Whale Great White Shark Bottlenose Dolphin Brittle Star Clown Fish

Process continued 2. Become an expert on your new friend! Use the provided resources to find all the information that you need. Create a story about your animal that includes the following information: - What is the name of your animal? - Where in the ocean does your animal live? - What does your animal look like? (fins or legs, claws, teeth, size, shape, color etc.) - What does your animal eat? - What does your animal get eaten by? - Any other fun/interesting facts that you can find! 3.Be creative and please type and double space your story!

Process continued 4. Create a visual drawing of your animal that shows all of its features and is colored in and be prepared to paste it on our new bulletin board aquarium. 5. Practice reading your story and present it to the rest of the class!
