Volcanoes are caused by Convergent boundaries in the earths surface which is one plate going under another this can also cause mountains to form These can be found near the colliding African and Indian plates Earthquakes are caused by colliding plates known as transform boundaries which is two plates sliding against each other and can also cause land slides and mud slides They can be found near the colliding Juan de fuca and north American plates

 Pangaea is the name for the super continent formed by all of today’s continents  It ended up disbanding due to continental drift  It had disbanded millions of years before human existence so we only can guess about it because the continents can fit together like puzzle pieces (this concept originally wasn’t accepted)  Pangaea also means all of earth and was thought to exist during the Permian through Jurassic periods.

 The original theory was known as anti-mobilist theory  The founder of the theory now a days ( Alfred Wegner ) was a accomplished geologist as well as meteorologist  The theory was supported by past explorers like magelon who saw how the continents fit together like puzzle pieces

 This kind of boundary causes trenches and can be found by the pacific and nazca plates

 We live on the North American plate which contains the united states  One plate we border is the Juan de Fuca plate  One hazard we can expect is earthquakes and be expected in the faceable future.
